Cookie Policy

How TatSketch uses cookies and browser storage for sign-in, guest designs, preferences, and source attribution, and how to manage them.

Last updated:

This policy explains how TatSketch uses cookies and similar browser technologies on tatsketch.com. For information about other personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. Some remain until they expire or you remove them; others are used for a single browsing session.

Sign-in and security

TatSketch uses first-party cookies to maintain your signed-in session, recognize account sessions, and protect the Google sign-in process. Blocking them can prevent you from signing in or accessing your private designs.

CookiePurposeDuration
better-auth.session_tokenIdentifies your signed-in sessionUp to 7 days; renewed during continued use
better-auth.session_data, when session caching is enabledStores a short-lived cache of session informationUp to 1 hour
better-auth.dont_remember, when a non-persistent sign-in is usedKeeps that sign-in from being extended into a persistent browser sessionThe browser session
better-auth.stateLinks a Google sign-in request to its return to TatSketchUp to 5 minutes; removed when no longer needed for the sign-in flow

On HTTPS pages, these names may begin with __Secure-. Session duration can be shorter when a non-persistent sign-in option is used. Cookie duration does not determine how long your account or designs are stored.

Guest designs and browser storage

Cookie or storagePurposeDuration
ts_artwork_guestRecognizes your guest session so you can access and claim its resultUp to 8 days, renewed when reused; the result's separate claim period is 7 days from its first available preview
ts_artwork_saveRemembers the selected result while you sign in to save and download itUntil the result's claim deadline, at most 7 days; cleared after a successful claim
PARAGLIDE_LOCALE, when a language is selectedRemembers your language preferenceUp to 400 days
Generator session storageKeeps your prompt, settings, and current request reference when you navigate or reload in the same tabThe browser's tab session; clearing site data removes it
tatsketch:visit-source:v1 session storageRemembers the referring domain, selected campaign parameters, landing path and visit time for registration and order attributionThe browser's tab session; browser restore may retain it; clearing site data removes it
Artwork local storageSignals artwork changes to other open TatSketch tabsUntil replaced or cleared in your browser

Guest cookies do not grant another free generation. Removing guest cookies before saving can prevent you from recovering an unclaimed result. Browser storage of a prompt is separate from the server-side records described in our Privacy Policy.

Analytics, advertising, and third parties

We also record the source of a registration and the visit associated with a purchase in our own database. Google sign-in carries this source through its existing protected sign-in state. Order records retain a snapshot; clearing browser storage does not remove account or billing records. Source attribution does not record tattoo prompts, URL fragments, arbitrary URL parameters, or a fingerprint of your device. If this session storage is unavailable, registration and purchases still work, but the source may be unknown.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page visits, referral sources, and page performance. It does not use analytics cookies or browser storage to track visitors across websites. We do not use advertising cookies. See our Privacy Policy for details.

If you choose Google sign-in, you visit Google's authentication service. Google may use cookies on its own pages, subject to its own policies and your Google settings.

Managing cookies

You can inspect, remove, or block cookies through your browser's settings. Removing sign-in cookies may sign you out. Deleting cookies does not delete your TatSketch account or saved designs.

We use cookies and browser storage for sign-in, security, requested generation and saving, preferences, and source attribution. If we introduce tracking technologies that require consent, we will ask before enabling them and provide a way to withdraw that consent.

Browser settings usually apply to that browser on that device. If you use another browser or device, you may need to manage its settings separately. Cookie choices do not prevent the server-side processing needed to fulfill a generation you request, including sending the request to the generation provider as described in our Privacy Policy.

We will update this page when our cookie use changes and show the revised effective date. For questions, email support@tatsketch.com.
