Terms of Service
The terms for using TatSketch, including accounts, AI-generated tattoo designs, permitted use, and service responsibilities.
Last updated:
1. These terms
These Terms govern your use of tatsketch.com and its tattoo design features. The service is provided by Shengjin Digital LLC, based in Wyoming, United States, referred to below as “TatSketch,” “we,” or “us.”
By agreeing to these Terms when creating an account or using a feature that requires acceptance, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, do not use those features. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms where you live. Do not create an account or use the generation service if you do not meet these requirements.
Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. If you register with an email address and password, complete email verification to use the account. Google sign-in is also available.
Use only accounts you are authorized to access. Contact support@tatsketch.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
3. What TatSketch provides
TatSketch uses AI to create tattoo design concepts from text descriptions and available settings. You can start your free generation as a guest and view a watermarked preview at the generated image's dimensions. Sign in or register to save the selected result to your account and download it.
A generated image is a visual reference. It is not a professional assessment of tattoo placement, suitability for skin, safety, or how a tattoo will heal or look over time. Discuss the design and any necessary changes with a qualified tattoo artist before proceeding.
AI output can contain unwanted details, incorrect text, or other errors. Similar descriptions may produce similar results for different people. We do not guarantee that a design will be unique, accurate, eligible for copyright protection, or free of third-party rights.
Generation requests and delivery
We send generation requests to KIE using the description and available settings you choose. A selected style adds design instructions to your description; choosing No style sends your description as written. Requests may pass through queued and processing states before an image is returned.
Accepting a request for processing does not guarantee a completed image. A request can be rejected, fail during generation, or produce a result that cannot yet be delivered because of a storage or transfer problem. A network interruption or a closed browser tab does not by itself establish that a request has failed.
If the status of a request is unclear, check its status or contact support before submitting it again. Submitting the same description again can create a separate generation rather than recover the original one, and the result may differ.
4. Your descriptions and other content
You remain responsible for the material you provide and for having the rights or permissions needed to use it. Do not submit material that violates another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
You retain any rights you already hold in your input. By submitting it, you give TatSketch permission to process, reproduce, and adapt it as needed to generate your requested image, store and deliver the result, provide support, and protect the service. This permission includes using service providers for those purposes. It does not give us a general right to publish your private content in advertising or a public gallery.
Our Privacy Policy describes the providers involved in processing and the applicable retention arrangements.
5. Generated designs and downloads
You may use TatSketch's available controls to generate your results. Downloads require a registered, signed-in account. Free downloads include a TatSketch watermark and are limited to 512 pixels on the longest side, preserving the image's aspect ratio.
Subscribing unlocks downloads of your saved originals without the TatSketch watermark. All designs generated before your subscription expires retain original download access after expiry, including free designs generated before you subscribed. Designs generated after expiry require another subscription to unlock original downloads. Buying a credit pack alone does not unlock original downloads. Generating new 4K images requires Designer or Ultra; retained original download access includes previously saved 4K designs. Original downloads use the existing image and do not require another generation.
As between you and TatSketch, free designs may be downloaded, edited, shared, reproduced, and used for personal, non-commercial purposes, including your own tattoo. A subscription unlocks commercial use, including tattoo design work for clients and products offered for sale. This also applies to your previously saved free designs when you subscribe. Ending your subscription does not revoke commercial-use permissions already granted for your designs. Original download access follows the rule above; new generation limits follow your current subscription.
This permission does not give you exclusive rights, grant rights in third-party material, or license TatSketch's software, branding, or other users' designs. You must have any additional rights or permissions needed for your intended use.
A download does not by itself establish copyright ownership or provide rights to another person's protected material. You are responsible for checking that your intended use of a design is permitted.
6. Private designs and saved work
New designs are private, and there is no public gallery yet. Any gallery permission you previously gave remains recorded and can be withdrawn in My Works. It applies only to the image, without your prompt or account information; only images with permission that has not been withdrawn may appear in a future gallery. Withdrawal does not remove copies already kept by others. Processing by the providers needed to generate and deliver your design is described in the Privacy Policy.
Guest results can be claimed for seven days from the first successful, available preview. Use the sign-in action below your result; the selected result is saved automatically after sign-in. Unclaimed results expire after that period. Clearing the guest browser data can prevent you from accessing an unclaimed result.
Download a copy of any design you want to keep independently of your account. Saving a design in TatSketch does not transfer responsibility for copies you share through other services to us.
Designs saved to a registered account have no automatic expiry and are kept permanently under our account storage policy. The rule is the same for free and paid accounts. Deletion of a design, closure of an account, and any associated data retention are addressed separately in our Privacy Policy.
7. Access limits and payments
Your one-time free experience includes one image at 1K generation quality. Guest use and account use share this allowance: signing in to claim a guest result does not grant another free generation. Creating an account directly gives the same one-time experience. The allowance does not refresh daily. Free previews retain the generated image's dimensions with a watermark; free downloads remain limited to 512 pixels on the longest side.
Subscriptions and credit packs
Prices are in US dollars. The checkout shows the amount and billing period before you confirm a purchase. A subscription renews for its selected monthly or annual period until cancelled.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing, paid upfront | Credits each month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $9.90 | $99 | 180 |
| Designer | $19.90 | $199 | 540 |
| Ultra | $39.90 | $399 | 1,200 |
Separate credit packs cost $4.90 for 75 credits or $9.90 for 180 credits. An active Starter, Designer or Ultra subscription is required to buy and use pack credits. Pack credits do not expire: if your subscription ends, the balance is retained but cannot be used until you subscribe again. Available features follow your current subscription, not the plan held when the credits were purchased.
Generation costs depend on the model and resolution:
| Model | 1K | 2K | 4K |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 3 credits | 5 credits | 8 credits |
| Pro | 6 credits | 10 credits | 16 credits |
The free experience uses Standard at 1K. Starter supports Standard at 1K or 2K. Designer and Ultra support Standard and Pro at 1K, 2K or 4K. The square aspect ratio is not supported for 4K.
Subscription credits are issued monthly on your subscription schedule, not on the first day of each calendar month. They expire at the end of their monthly allocation period and do not roll over. Annual billing is paid upfront, with credits still issued monthly rather than all at once. Purchased pack credits are separate from these expiring allocations.
Changing or cancelling a subscription
An upgrade quote credits the value of unused credits in the current monthly allocation and, for an annual subscription, future monthly allocations not yet issued. The final payable amount is rounded to cents and shown before confirmation. After successful payment, the new plan starts a new billing period and replaces the previous monthly allocation. Separate pack credits are unaffected. A failed payment does not activate the upgrade.
Moving to a higher plan within the same billing interval, or switching from monthly to annual billing on the same or a higher plan, takes effect after successful payment. Downgrading, including a change of billing interval, takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Switching from annual to monthly billing on the same plan takes effect at the end of the paid year. Moving from an annual plan to a higher monthly plan requires contacting Support for review; an immediate conversion or refund of unused annual fees is not guaranteed.
Downgrades take effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Cancelling stops renewal; access continues through that paid period. For a cancelled annual subscription, monthly credit allocations continue through the paid year. Cancellation does not itself request or guarantee a refund.
Refund requests and failed generations
You can request a full refund within seven days of a purchase if none of the credits from that purchase have been used. For a subscription purchase, you must also have made no successful generation or original download during the relevant subscription period. Contact support with the purchase details. Pending generations must be resolved before eligibility is determined. Requests involving used credits or subscription benefits are reviewed manually. These conditions do not remove mandatory rights under applicable law.
Credits reserved for a system failure are released. If the original monthly credits have already expired, the returned amount is issued as compensation credits valid for seven days. Recovering the same generation request does not charge for a second generation; submitting a new request is a separate action.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use TatSketch for unlawful activity or to infringe another person's rights.
- Request, create, upload, or distribute pornography or other sexually explicit content intended for sexual gratification, including AI-generated content.
- Request, create, upload, or distribute child sexual abuse or exploitation material, non-consensual intimate content (including fabricated depictions), threats, or content intended to facilitate harm.
- Impersonate another person or use the service to deceive, harass, or defraud others.
- Attempt to access another user's account, private designs, or our systems without authorization.
- Introduce malware, disrupt the service, or bypass access controls, security measures, or usage limits.
- Use multiple accounts or other methods to evade limits that apply to you.
Content restrictions apply to your descriptions and generated results, whether private or shared.
Provider safety checks and rejected requests
Generation requests are subject to the restrictions applied by the generation service. KIE or the model provider involved may decline a request or withhold a result under applicable content-safety rules. A private design is still subject to those restrictions.
A rejected request does not necessarily mean that you intended to violate a rule. Checks may misunderstand context. A technical failure also does not by itself mean that your content was prohibited. If you believe a rejection is mistaken, contact support with the relevant request information; we cannot guarantee that a provider will reverse its decision or generate the requested image.
Do not attempt to bypass safety restrictions. Successful generation does not mean that the image has received human review, legal clearance, or approval for tattooing.
When a request uses credits, they are reserved when you submit it and settled after successful delivery. Credits reserved for a system failure are released. An uncertain task status does not by itself establish failure or successful delivery.
9. Problems, reports, and account restrictions
For a generation or download problem, contact support@tatsketch.com with enough detail for us to identify the issue.
If you believe content available through TatSketch infringes your rights or violates these Terms, email the same address with a description and enough information to identify the content. Do not include passwords or private sign-in links.
We may restrict access or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to address a breach of these Terms, protect users or the service, or comply with the law. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the reason. You can contact us if you believe a restriction was made in error.
10. Stopping use and service availability
You can stop using TatSketch at any time. Account settings provide deletion controls for eligible accounts; accounts with billing records are currently referred to support for manual closure. Requesting closure does not mean it is already complete. Subscription cancellation, pending credit reservations, and necessary billing retention must be handled as part of closure. The retention and deletion rules in our Privacy Policy continue to apply.
The service may be unavailable during maintenance, technical failures, or provider outages. We do not promise uninterrupted access or a particular result or generation time. Changes affecting saved work or account access will be handled in line with the applicable terms, privacy notice, and law.
11. Responsibility and legal protections
To the extent permitted by applicable law, TatSketch is provided on an “as available” basis, and we make no additional promise that generated designs will meet your expectations or be suitable for a particular use.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or removes mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
12. Changes and disputes
We will publish changes to these Terms with an effective date. If a change materially affects your rights or use of the service, we will provide notice and obtain any acceptance required by law before it applies.
If a dispute arises, contact support@tatsketch.com so we can try to resolve it.
If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
